EU-funded films Timbuktu and Ida win Cesar and Oscar awards

Brussels, 23 February 2015

This was a successful weekend for films supported by the Creative Europe - MEDIA programme. Timbuktu got seven Cesar awards in France, notably for best film, and Ida won the Oscar award for best foreign film in the United States. The two films received respectively EUR 540,000 and EUR 650,000 from the Creative Europe – MEDIA programme for their development and distribution.
