EU and Japan to hold seventh FTA negotiating round in Brussels

The European Union and Japan will hold their seventh round of negotiations toward a bilateral free trade agreement in Brussels from 20 October to 24 October.

Mauro Petriccione, deputy director-general at the European Commission's Directorate-General for Trade, will lead the EU side, while the Japanese negotiating team will be headed by Ambassador Yasumasa Nagamine, deputy minister for foreign affairs.

These negotiations were formally launched by leaders on both sides in March2013.
