The organisers of the 2nd ChopShots Documentary Festival Southeast Asia, to be held in Jakarta next April, are currently seeking submissions of documentary films of any length produced after January 2012.
ChopShots is a documentary film festival for the Asia-Pacific region organised by DocNet Southeast Asia, a project funded by the European Union, and partners in six Southeast Asian nations. It aims to attract films that portray Southeast Asia, as well as those that would connect with a Southeast Asian audience.
The festival offers awards worth a total of 10,000 EUR, and winning newcomers will be given an opportunity to travel with their films to Southeast Asian neighbouring countries (Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam).
Submission of entries is free, and eligible entries for the two competition sections (feature-length and short and medium-length works) would preferably focus on topic sets in Southeast Asia. Eligible entries must have English subtitles.
Entries must arrive at the secretariat by 15 December.
