Accession of Croatia to the European Union

In the morning of Monday, 1^st of July  EU Ambassador Hans Dietmar Schweisgut invited the Ambassador of Croatia, H.E. Ms Mira Martinec to Europa House to formally hoist the flag of her country among those of the other member countries of the European Union. This to mark the formal accession of Croatia to the EU on the 1^st of July, 2013. On behalf of the rotating presidency of the EU the Ambassador of Lithuania, H.E. Mr Egidijus Meilunas witnessed the brief ceremony.
