Photo exhibition to showcase newest EU member Croatia and next Presidency holder Lithuania

EU News 305/2013

27 June 2013

An exhibition of more than 70 photographs to mark Croatia's joining the European Union and the start of the EU Presidency of Lithuania, will be held at the premises of the Delegation of the EU to Japan in Tokyo's Minato Ward from 2 to 19 July.

Croatia will join the EU as its 28th Member State on 1 July, while Lithuania will assume the six-month rotating presidency of the Council of the EU from that same date.

The photographs, taken by Kazuko Inoue and Marius Jovaiša, respectively, provide a wonderful glimpse into the natural beauty of these two countries, and serve as a reminder of the diversity of the EU.

Croatian exhibition has been organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Japan, while the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Japan has organised the Lithuanian photos.
