EU News 185/2013

17 April 2013

On 16 April 2013, European Union Ambassador Hans Dietmar Schweisgut received the visit of Slovenian photographer Ms Metka Vergnion who contributed three of her photos to decorate the EU Delegation's Europa House building. Ms Vergnion was accompanied by the Ambassador of Slovenia to Japan H.E. Ms Helena Drnvosek Zorko and some of her friends and supporters. Ambassador Schweisgut showed Ms Vergnion the meeting room where her art works had been placed as well as what more than 20 other EU member states had so far contributed in the frame of the Delegation's ongoing "Art on loan" programme. The purpose of this activity is for Europa House to act as an effective showcase of the cultural and artistic diversity of the European Union.
