weareurope – Presentation of European Fashion. A/W ’13/’14 Collection

EU News 38/2013

29 January 2013

Some 40 European fashion houses and designers will visit Japan 26-29 March 2013, with the support of the European Union, to develop business ties with Japanese companies. The main focus of the business mission is to support European designers in entering into the Japanese market by presenting their autumn / winter 2013/14 collections to buyers, importers, agents and the media.

During the week-long business mission, the participants will be given a comprehensive overview of the Japanese fashion retail market, practical tips on approaching and doing business with Japanese retailers and first-hand experience of the Japanese fashion market by visiting department stores, specialty stores and concept shops in Tokyo’s fashion districts.

weareurope is a two-day innovative fashion trade show for upcoming European brands, hand-picked for their creativity and quality, that represents the middle to high end market. Japanese buyers and people in the fashion industry will have a chance to interact with the European designers directly, while custom-made catwalks will offer a sneak preview of trends to come.

weareurope provides a unique chance to personally meet with some 40 fashion houses from 16 EU Member States, all under one roof. An increasing number of European designers are venturing into international markets with refreshing and unique new labels and styles, which are definitely worth discovering.
