10th Anniversary of the European Research Council ''Beyond the first 10 years''

The European Research Council (ERC) is an important component of EU's Research and Innovation Framework Programme Horizon 2020 (2014-2020) and provides grants for investigator-driven research across all fields, purely on the basis of scientific excellence.

This event will celebrate 10 years since the establishment of the ERC, and will provide an opportunity to learn about the major achievements thus far, as well as how the ERC will evolve beyond its first 10 years, the involvement of Japanese researchers (including through the ERC-JSPS exchange scheme), the importance of frontier research more generally and Japan's approaches to the issue.
